As you may recall from last week’s post, I plan to offer weekly challenges during the Season of Creation. Last week’s challenge was to take the time to pick up some garbage that you see lying on the earth. Here’s challenge #2:
Avoid buying and using bottled water
In today's world, it's not always easy to avoid giving in to the convenience of buying bottles of water. Especially when they're often promoted as being healthier, cleaner and safer. But the truth is, most of us have perfectly safe water coming from our taps at home, at work and at our schools. So instead, make the extra effort of bringing your own bottle and refilling it as needed. Doing this will save money and help keep plastic bottles from building up in our landfills, oceans and roadways.
