Holy Week and Easter

Hello Everyone!

Many of you may be wondering what will happen with our Holy Week and Easter Services given the current circumstances. This has been something I too, have wondered since we moved to online worship and ministry a few weeks ago. I will admit that at the beginning, a piece of me tried to hold onto the hope that we might be able to gather together for these services, but we now know that this will not be the case. We are being asked to continue social distancing and to stay home as much as possible, for the foreseeable future.

With this in mind, I met with some members of our Session last night (online!) to discuss these services, as well as worship going forward. In the weeks to come, I will continue to offer worship on Sunday mornings and a mid-week message through facebook live. After Easter, I am also looking at some other ideas to keep us connected, so be on the look out for more information!

Now to get to Holy Week and Easter. I am delighted to invite you to join with me in worship for the services we would normally hold during Holy Week. So here is the plan!

Palm Sunday Service April 5th @ 10:00 AM Live on facebook

Maundy Thursday Service April 9th @ 7:00 PM Live on facebook

Good Friday Service April 10th @ 7:00 PM Live on facebook

Easter Sunrise Devotional April 12th @ 7:00 AM Live on facebook (about 5 minutes)

Easter Sunday Service April 12th @ 10:00 AM Live on facebook

Each service will be posted on our blog by 9:00 AM on the day of the service (Easter Sunrise Devotional will be posted the day before). This will be to allow for the printed service to be shared with loved ones who are not online so they can still share in prayer that day with us.

As well, some services may need you to prepare some supplies to share in our time together, so please be on the lookout for further information and directions! I promise, it will all be simple requests that should be easily found in your home and/or property!

Please share this with others so they too know what we will be offering this Holy Week. I look forward to sharing in the journey of Holy Week with all of you in the coming days.

God Bless, Rev. Tara Ann
